KeHE is the largest pure play natural foods distributor in the United States. It is also a consumer packaged goods company that produces multiple product lines for grocery retail partners. In addition to building and growing multiple product and capabilities-focused brands owned by KeHE, I also assumed full P&L responsibility for the company’s owned brands portfolio.
This includes leadership over all product development, category management, operations, sales, and marketing activity for three CPG brands comprising hundreds of SKUs. Each brand has been repositioned to align every function around a unique value proposition for targeted retailers and their consumers. To date, our continued growth and success have come from an intense focus on making a differentiated brand promise—one we are committed to delivering day in and day out.
CADIA
Challenge: Accelerate topline revenue and achieve first-time profitability through an improved go-to-market brand strategy—including a new brand identity, an aligned and refined product portfolio, and optimized promotional planning.
Results: Achieved topline sales growth of 185% over 5 years, increasing revenue from $14MM to $40MM.

Challenge: Develop a go-to-market brand strategy that repositioned a 70-plus-year-old center-store distributor as a destination for vibrant fresh, perimeter-store solutions.
Results: Supported year-over-year growth of 40%—from $1B to $1.4B—through a new brand-messaging campaign, brand-awareness activations, and sales lead generation.

WILD OATS
Challenge: Revitalize a legacy natural-products retail brand founded in 1987 by relaunching it as a differentiated consumer packaged goods brand. Target consumer segments include both those familiar with the brand’s history and those encountering it for the first time.
